چکیده
Abstract Background Diosgenin is an isospirostane derivative, which a steroidal sapogenin and the product of acids or enzymes hydrolysis process dioscin protodioscin. Galactomannans are heteropolysaccharides composed D-mannose D-galactose, major sources locust bean, guar, tara fenugreek. Methods Literature survey was accomplished using multiple databases including PubMed, Science Direct, ISI web knowledge Google Scholar. Results Four seed galactomannans bean ( Ceratonia siliqua ), guar Cyamopsis tetragonoloba Caesalpinia spinosa Kuntze), fenugreek T.foenum - graecum ). has effect on immune system, lipid inflammatory reproductive systems, caner, metabolic process, blood glucose calcium regulation. The most important pharmacological benefits galactomannan antidiabetic, antioxidant, anticancer, anticholinesterase, antiviral activities, appropriate for dengue virus gastric diseases. Conclusions Considering importance diosgenin galactomannans, obtained findings suggest potential as natural products in pharmaceutical industries.
